San Jose State University Judo Club
I visited San Jose State University Judo Club to meet a person who is a member of Marunouchi Judo Club and currently lives in San Jose. What surprised me was he was a starting member of Apple Japan when he lived in Tokyo.
I had a chance to meet many club members. Shintaro Nakano Sensei is the head coach and has been leading the team for two years. I also met Isao Okano Sensei and Mr. Mike Swain, and they were all having a really good practice.
I would like to participate their practice next time but need more practice in Tokyo because I have to fight with young college students and can’t make excuses for jet lag. I look forward to meeting with them again in San Jose.
丸の内柔道倶楽部のメンバーで、現在はサンノゼにお住まいの方を訪ねて、サンノゼ州立大柔道部の稽古に行ってきました。その方はApple Japan創設にも携わっていたそうで、お会いするに当たり特別なご縁を感じました。
私も稽古をさせてもらえるようにと、柔道部の皆さんを紹介いただきました。現在コーチをされているのが中野真太郎さん。この日は岡野功さん、マイクスウェインさんもいらっしゃり、熱のこもった稽古をされていました。
今度はぜひ稽古に参加したい思っていますが、時差ぼけで調子が悪いと言い訳をしなくてもいいように、日本でもっと稽古をしておかなければ。みなさんとサンノゼでまたお会いできることを、心より楽しみにしています。

Tama Judo Tournament in Fuchu, Tokyo. I realized that I need to practice gripping more in order to compete with these people. 多摩社会人柔道大会に参加しました。試合と乱取りとの組手の違いを痛感。組み力をつけないと。
I found EV charging stations in the office campus, which were the closest parking space from the main entrance. I saw Nissan LEAF quite often in the town. 本社キャンパスにEV充電設備付き駐車場ができていた。しかもメイン玄関に近い一番いいところに。日産リーフも街でよく見かけました。
